Comet Seen in Skies Over West TN

JACKSON, Tenn.- It is a sight you do not see very often, especially one that will not come around for another 109,000 years.

About a dozen amateur astronomers showed up at Liberty Gardens in north around sunset, Tuesday evening to get a glimpse of Comet C-2011 L-4 Panstarrs. The comet is about one mile wide and about 100 million miles away from earth

Do not worry if you cannot see the comet, In a rare occurrence, a different comet is expected to pass through again in November.
