Congressman Fincher Speaks To Jackson GOP
JACKSON, Tenn. -- Congressman Stephen Fincher spoke about the shutdown at the Madison County Republican Party's monthly meeting on Monday morning.
"With all that is currently happening in Washington, DC, we are excited that Congressman Fincher will be able to address our party," Madison County Republican Party Chairman Jay Bush said. "The ongoing government shutdown, the debate over raising the debt ceiling and the disastrous rollout of Obamacare, are all issues local Republicans are looking forward to discussing with Congressman Fincher."
Congressman Fincher spoke to the group at 11:30 a.m. in the Taylor Room at Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store, 56 Casey Jones Lane in Jackson.
"Look, we don't get everything we want, he's sure not going to get everything he wants, but you've got to have a compromise here, and he's not willing to compromise, he's playing hardball, and it seems very political," Congressman Fincher said.
Congressman Fincher was elected to represent the 8th Congressional District in 2010 and currently serves on the House Financial Committee and the House Agriculture Committee.
