JACKSON, Tenn. - Congressman Stephen Fincher took a break from Washington to speak at an area civic organization, Monday.

Fincher, a Republican from Frog Jump, was the featured speaker at the Rotary Club's lunch meeting where he talked about the looming fiscal cliff in Washington.
He said spending is one of the biggest problems in Washington.

"Our country is in terrible shape financially. We're in debt $16 trillion plus and we've really got to look at how we are spending our money and make sure were being more transparent than we have in the past," said Fincher.

Fincher represents the 8th Congressional District, which covers portions of West Tennessee.
