Cooling Center Opened in Linden
Linden, Tenn. – An emergency cooling center has been set up in Linden.
A news release stated that Perry County and the Town Of Linden established an emergency cooling center at the Perry County Senior Citizens Center, 112 S. Mill Street in Linden.
Residents of any age, from any part of the county, have access to this center between the hours of 11:00am to 4:00pm - Friday
June 29, 2012.
The center will provide air conditioning, cool water, and restrooms.
Officials said additional cooling center times and locations may be established based on community need.
Residents are urged to check on elderly neighbors, and those with small children, to see if they need emergency assistance.
This center is being operated by Senior Citizens Center staff, with the assistance of the Perry County Sheriffs Office.
