MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.- Farmers got a chance to learn about better ways to protect their corn crops in Madison County.
"First Farmers Co-Op conducted an experiment to find the best combination of fertilizer and pesticides for corn crops in Madison County and Tuesday released their findings to farmers.
The farmers were able to look at the different sets of corn to help planning for their future corn crops.
Organizers said this type of information directly impacts farmers in Madison County.
"This is in our local environment. We see things change from this area you can go 50 miles, hundred miles, up the road and you've still got products responding differently so they want to know how the products respond in their local environments," said Mike Clayton, location Manger for First Farmers Co-Op in Henderson.
Farmers said the information was useful and is something they will want to use in their upcoming crops.
