JACKSON, Tenn.- A local crime fighting organization gets a boost from a local insurance group.

Leaders for Crime Stoppers were presented with a check for $5,000 from Modern Woodmen in north Jackson this afternoon.

Officials with Crime Stoppers said donations and support from the community is the lifeblood of their crime fighting efforts.

Leaders with the insurance group said they are, once again happy to team with those who fight against crime each day.

"Without people like them and other organizations that they also support besides us we would not be successful we couldn't pay the rewards we pay today," said Lt. Mike Johnson of Crime Stoppers.
