Crockett Co. Teacher Free on Bond

ALAMO, Tenn. - The Crockett County High School teacher arrested on charges of raping a student almost half his age is out of jail after posting $25,000 bond, Thursday evening.
Perry Reeves, 29, is a history teacher and assistant football coach. He faces two charges each of aggravated statutory rape and statutory rape by an authority figure, along with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Investigators said they first learned about the alleged crime, Wednesday, when the 15-year-old victim's boyfriend called 911. He said he was upset that his girlfriend was cheating on him.
Reeves was arrested that same day after investigators say they saw him run from the girl's house. He is currently on unpaid leave from the school district.
The 15-year-old who originally called investigators was also arrested. Investigators said he busted out all of the window's of Reeves' truck.
