JACKSON, Tenn.- Just about everyone who was alive 35 years ago remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing on August 16.

Elvis Presley was found dead in his Graceland home in Memphis at the age of 42. The chart topping and ground breaking singer died of heart disease and prescription drug abuse.

The Rockabilly Hall of Fame Museum in downtown Jackson is full of Elvis Memorabilia, including the very machine doctors used to try and revive him in 1977.

Tour guide Charles Duncan had just joined the police force the day he heard the news.

"I was out on my first patrol when the news came over the radio and it was such a shock," said Duncan.

A candlelight vigil was held into Thursday morning at Graceland in honor of Elvis. A tribute concert at the Fed Ex Forum in Memphis is scheduled for Thursday night.
