Dick's Sporting Goods Burglarized

JACKSON Tenn.- Jackson police said two men used a crowbar to break into the Dick's Sporting Goods store off Vann Drive, late Tuesday night.

Store managers said the thieves knew what they were doing. They were in and out in less than two minutes, and wiped the store clean of its three most expensive items.

In total, managers estimate the thieves got away with more than $11,000 worth of TaylorMade golf clubs, Titleist golf balls, and golf simulators.

"It's sad this is the culture we are living in today that people feel like its an obligation they have to break into places like this," said Jackson resident Adam Allen.

The store's loss prevention office said similar break-ins have occurred at retail stores in both Nashville and Memphis.

Police said they are still investigating and have not said yet if the crimes are related.
