Dispatchers Celebrated All Week

JACKSON, Tenn.- Those who answer the telephones during emergencies and alert first responders are being celebrated this week.

National Public Safety Telecommunications Week is dedicated to the men and women who make those dispatches.

At the Madison County Sheriff's Department Wednesday afternoon dispatchers were hard at work helping to keep the area safe.

"The thank you even from our officers it means a lot just someone that will call and say hey good job you did or thank you for what you do for us," said Sgt. Jennifer Brandon. a dispatcher with the Madison
County Sheriff's Department.

Madison County Sheriff's Department dispatchers answer more than 800 calls a day.
