BROWNSVILLE, Tenn.-The thunderstorms that hit West Tennessee left some people with a lot of cleaning up to do.
Crews in Brownsville spent their morning removing trees that blocked some streets and knocked down power lines, leaving some without power.
Some who weathered the storm told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News it was all a bit scary.
"The winds were sideways rain was sideways trees were toppling so it toppled trees, lines looked like a war zone," said Polly Stewart, a Brownsville resident.
Most of the power has been restored. At last check crews were working to restore power to the remaining customers.
