DYERSBURG, Tenn.- It may be just a few days after Thanksgiving, but already one West Tennessee County is getting into the Christmas spirit.

It was standing room only as the annual Dyer County Christmas Parade got underway in downtown Dyersburg, Monday night with all of the sights and sounds of the holiday season.

Not even the threat of rain could keep people away as festive floats, marching bands and various organizations turned out for the event that literally had hundreds lining the parade route.

Many of the parents said the big draw for them and their kids was to get a glimpse of the parade's most anticipated visitor, Santa Claus.
