Easter Day Robbery in East Jackson
JACKSON Tenn.- Jackson Police are searching for two men accused of robbing an East Jackson family at gunpoint on Easter Sunday.
The family told police the two men stormed in their Royal Arms apartment while they were having a family Easter celebration.
"It's Easter Sunday! People are supposed to be Easter egg hunting, not holding guns to people's heads," said T.I. Johnson who was at his cousin's home at the time of the armed robbery.
Investigators say five adults were home, and the two robbers got away with cash and the families' X-Box.
"I'm just glad no kids were home. Usually there are a lot of kids here," said a family member.
The family says this type of violence is becoming too common in their neighborhood.
"I mean, you can't even go out and have a good time without being afraid of being shot or shot at," said a family member.
Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
