Eddy Arnold Remembered by Special Events

JACKSON, Tenn.- One of West Tennessee's native sons was honored Thursday with several special events noting highlights of his life.

The Daughters of the American Revolution, the City of Jackson and Madison County held a 'Remembering Eddy Arnold Day' with several stops in and around the city and county.

One stop was at the Carnegie Center for Arts and History, Thursday where there were remarks about the singer's career and life.

Later, his grandson jammed at Jaxon Records with area talent and announced he was forming Plowboy Records to keep the Arnold legacy alive.

An earlier stop was at Pinson School where the well-known entertainer went to high school.

Arnold had a career that spanned six decades.
