Extra Officers to Patrol Impaired Drivers this Weekend

JACKSON, Tenn.- This weekend, officers plan to be out in full force in an organized effort to get impaired and careless drivers off the road will take place in Jackson.
As part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of residents in the Hub City, officers with the Jackson Police Department will conduct sobriety checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement throughout the city.
Officers will look for DUI drivers, but will also check for safety belt, and child restraint usage.
This project is funded solely by a grant administrated by the Tennessee Governor's Highway Safety Office.
