The Jackson Madison County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its Field of Flags Dedication Saturday at Triangle Park in downtown Jackson.
It was a sea of red, white, and blue. Each flag, 109 of them represent a person who has fought during the American Revolution. Dozens showed up remember the service of others. This was the 6th year for the flags dedication, and organizers hope to continue.
"Anyone who had a person that was either in the American Revolution as a soldier or it they gave medical aid or if they did anything that they are recognized as a patriot, we would like for them to have a flag on the field, " said Kathy Haney Williams.
