SAVANNAH, Tenn. - A fire broke out before 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Praxis Company in Savannah. No one was hurt, however a firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.

Employees were in the middle of working when a storage door flew open exposing black smoke and flames. Hardin County Fire Chief Melvin Martin said employees acted quickly by evacuating the building. Martin said they are investigating the cause of the fire.

The fire started in a building connected to the plant. Fire Chief Martin said there was 20,000 pounds of gel coat resin in the storage room.

The owner of the building said the Praxis Company will be open on Monday.
