The inside of a Jackson gas station is burnt to a crisp and investigators are searching for an arsonist.

While some may think lighting caused this devastating fire at the Exxon Mobile on East Chester Street, but fire officials say they believe it was intentionally set.

Jackson firefighters responded to the fire just before 4:00 a.m. this morning while the business was still closed.

Authorities have not made any arrests but say they have plenty of evidence to work with.

The gas station owner Riad Razeq says they have been in business for 11 years and can't figure out why anyone would do this.

"I know there's a lot of concerned people about us. I wanna tell everybody thanks for the concern. Things happen and we will be rebuild and we will be reopened very time soon," said Razeq.

The investigation is still continuing.

Employees are temporarily working at the owner's other gas stations until he rebuilds.
