Fireworks Stands Popping Up in West Tennessee

Heather Mathis

JACKSON, Tenn.- The fourth of July is just a few days away and fireworks stands are popping up all over West Tennessee.

Some stand owners said they have sold fireworks every 4th for 30 years. Their shoppers range from those just buying sparklers to those planning their own big backyard firework shows.

"They want the artillery shells and the 500 gram boxes, our best sellers are a combination of those two," said owner Mitch Irwin.

Fireworks are banned in the city of Jackson and Madison County.
