Former Sheriff's Deputy Indicted for Attack on Ex-Wife

JACKSON, Tenn.- A former sheriff's deputy has been indicted after a domestic dispute in June.
Jackson Police said Chad Lewis has been charged with attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, especially aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence.
Investigators said Lewis while driving his 25-year-old ex-wife from her north Jackson home, then drove her to his apartment on Old Hickory Boulevard where he moved her to his truck.
While driving through east Jackson, officers said Lewis stabbed her in the chest. Investigators said he drove here to Henderson, about 40 minutes away, taking her to an ambulance station in handcuffs.
Authorities said Lewis remains free on a $150,000 bond and will be arraigned in Madison County Circuit Court, January 7.
