JACKSON, Tenn. - A fugitive on the run for more than three months from Jackson police has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Jackson.
Monterrius Miller, 19, of Jackson, was arrested Monday inside an apartment in the 900-block of Lane Avenue. He was wanted on charges including aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery and violating his probation in connection with an incident last March. Jackson police believe he kidnapped, pistol-whipped and robbed a man inside his apartment in west Jackson.
Miller had eluded officers since March. Numerous tips had come into the U.S. Marshals Service, but Miller managed to stay on the move in the Jackson-Madison County area. Just last month, a tip led officers to a home on Cerro Gordo Road in Madison County. But by the time Marshals, deputies and officers arrived, Miller had moved to another location.
His luck in evading capture ended Monday. Miller is now in the Madison County Jail
