Gardner Surrenders to Authorities, Now in Jail

A man accused of raping a 38-year-old woman in West Madison County last weekend is in custody after surrendering at the sheriff's department.

Roy Gardner, Junior, 37, of Jackson surrendered shortly before 9, Tuesday morning. He is facing charges of two counts of rape, false imprisonment and aggravated domestic assault.

Gardner's arraignment date has not been set.
