Generals Park Getting Ready For Action

NORTH JACKSON, Tenn. -- Workers have finished installing new sod at Generals Park.

The new grass will get all fall and winter to take root and start to flourish.

Park officials expect it to be ready for play in Mid-March when they begin to host games for some area high schools.

Work began a month ago for a brand new baseball field at Generals Park.

The original field was installed in 1998, but over the years rain water caused major drainage problems.

The City of Jackson approved $190,000 for the project.
