Earlier this week, we told you about a 15-year-old Lexington girl who told police she was kidnapped at gunpoint and brought to Jackson. But now, she is the one facing criminal charges. Jackson police said they, along with investigators from Lexington had determined that the girl went to a north Jackson motel, willingly after contacting a man from Henderson and arranging for him to pick her up in Lexington, Tuesday. Investigators said the man rented a motel room, but neither held the teen against her will nor raped her. "We feel like it was very irresponsible judgment on her part to report that it was a kidnapping and a rape, especially at gunpoint, given the fact that, what's going on in Decatur county with the Holly Bobo disappearance," said Lieutenant Tyreece Miller of the Jackson Police Department. "You know, it's just poor judgment on her part 'cause this you know truly could have happened very easily." The teen will face charges of filing a false police report in both Madison and Henderson County juvenile courts. The man will not face charges.
