JACKSON, Tenn.-If you are ready for some Girl Scout cookies then you are in luck.

Starting Friday, cookie booths were set up at local stores as part of the largest financial literacy program of the year for the girls.

Leaders said buying Girl Scout cookies is more than just handing over money for a box. It is also about skills the girls learn from interacting with the public and running their own cookie business. It also teaches skills about working with others.

"Keeping a smile all the time. Making sure that you don't make them feel sorry for you and the buying, making them feel like they want to buy cookies not begging them to," said Cara Brunet, a Girl Scout.

Cookie booth sales are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until March 17.
