Group Denied Sales Permits, Several Arrests Made

TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn.- Tipton County deputies have made five arrests and denied solicitation permits for two groups going door-to-door selling magazines and books.
Officers said Eric Pate, 26, 0f Memphis, was working with Inner City Sales, when a routine background check turned up, showing he was wanted out of Memphis.
A similar check on workers permitted to sell for Midwest Circulations , ended with the arrests of Christopher Kennedy, Dakota Cavins, Tazmine Oliver, and Paul Reed, on various charges ranging from marijuana possession to a felony fugitive warrant for Cavins.
Officers are urging anyone who might have had contact with these groups to be aware of possible identity.
