High Demad for Ammunition Causing Long Wait Time for Law Enforcement

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.- A high demand for ammunition is making it more difficult for some law enforcement agencies to keep a supply on hand.
We checked in with the Madison County Sheriff's Department and they told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News their wait for some of their rounds is between four and six month.
The sheriff's department says larger caliber weapons such as rifles could take even longer.
However, Sheriff David Woolfork said his deputies have more than enough ammunition to do their job.
