Murder Charge Filed in Pool Hall Homicide

A Jackson man is now jailed and charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of a man at a pool hall.

Travis Sentell Holliday, 32, is now charged with killing Ken Brasher, 44, at Breaker's Billiards on South Royal Street.

According to investigators, Brasher was struck in the head with a blunt object following an altercation. When police arrived early Sunday morning, he was on the floor inside the business. Brasher was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Bar owner Lisa Sanders said Sunday that Brasher was playing pool near the back of the bar until he was suddenly attacked by another customer. She also said nothing has ever happened like this at Breakers before.

Holliday is scheduled to be arraigned in Jackson City Court, Wednesday morning.
