Possible Human Bones Discovered In Dyer County

DYER COUNTY, Tenn. - The Dyer County Sheriff's Department is investigating a case where possible human bones were found on a sandy beach near the Mississippi River.

According to Sheriff Jeff Box, a person riding a four wheeler found the first bone Thursday afternoon, which is believed to be a human femur. Investigators later found another bone nearby.

Sheriff Box said the remains have been taken to the Medical Examiner's Office in Memphis for examination.
