Humboldt Sees a New Mayor, Alderman and School Board Members

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. -- The city of Humboldt swore in a new mayor, Wednesday.

Marvin Sikes officially took over as mayor Wednesday afternoon. More than 100 people attended the swearing in ceremony.

The clerk also swore in members of the board of alderman and the school board.

Mayor Sikes' first full day on the job is Thursday.

"We have many visitors to our city they need to see a good well kept city a good environment it just means so much to the citizens of this city to project a positive image >
Sikes said.

Four of the five sworn-in alderman are new.
