HUMBOLDT, Tenn.- Supporters of the Humboldt Boys Basketball team turned out in a big way, Wednesday to send the team to the state tournament in Murfreesboro.

The Vikings will play Mount Pleasant in the Murphy Center of the Middle Tennessee State University Campus, Thursday. The send-off happened on the Humboldt High School campus.

Players and their coach said they are excited to be in the state tournament.

"The excitment of the school, the fans, a lot of them. We've got two pep buses that are leaving in the morning at 6 o'clock going to Murfreesboro to support out team. That's about 100 students, there'll probably be that many more going in cars with their parents," said
Principal Arthur Moss, of Humboldt High School.

No classes will be held, Thursday as Humboldt plays Mount Pleasant at 10 a.m.

If the Vikings win, they will play Friday and once again, school will be out.
