Indictment Handed Down in North Jackson Murder Case

JACKSON, Tenn.- An Arkansas man will stand trial in Madison County for the first degree murder trial of a man found dead inside his burned out home in north Jackson two days after the fire was put out.

Randall Secrese was also indicted on counts of arson, especially aggravated kidnapping and theft. He remains jailed without bond.

Investigators said on December 7 of last year Secrese set the fire on Chickering Road to cover up the murder of James Blaine Divine, III. Police said while Secrese and his girlfriend were visiting Divine, the couple got into a fight and Divine intervened.

An autopsy found he died from being stabbed and beaten.
