Henderson County investigators are searching for a man they say is dangerous and on the run after allegedly stabbing his brother Independence Day morning.

According to reports, Steven Denton, 61, and his brother Tim Denton got into an argument over rent yesterday that ended with Steven stabbing Tim in the armpit area.

A neighbor told 7 Eyewitness News that Tim walked to her house and asked to use her phone to call police and an ambulance. First responders had to call a helicopter onto the scene to transport Tim to the Med in Memphis because his lung had been punctured.

"He (Tim) got to breathing real hard and he says, there's something wrong. he said I can feel the air coming out," said Debbie Moody.

Investigators said when they arrived, Steven was no where to be found and he remains at large and dangerous.

Steven Denton is believed to have fled in a white Ford pickup truck. If you see him or know where he can be found, contact the Henderson County Sheriff's Department.

Tim Denton is listed in stable condition at the Med in Memphis.
