JACKSON, Tenn.- A book sale in downtown Jackson is finding new purpose for some older books.
The sale helps to bring used books into the hands of new readers.
The sale, held at the Jackson-Madison County Library, is being held through this Sunday with all proceeds to go back to the library.
"If these books are not sold they get taken to recycling and they become paper again and they are too valuable to be paper again so we treasure them" said Sue Barnes, a volunteer with the group, Friends of the Library.
This is the eighth year for the library's used book sale.
