JPD Deputy Chief Campbell Reveals Retirement Plans

JACKSON, Tenn. - Jackson Police Deputy Chief Gerry Campbell has announced that he plans to retire from the department on June 7.

He announced he will become the Associate Minister for Northside United Methodist Church.

The St. Andrew church is looking to begin an extended ministry which reaches individuals who may need help in the community. Campbell believes it was the right time for him to retire from Jackson Police Department and join the church.

Campbell currently is the lay leader of the Memphis Conference of the United Methodist Church. The Memphis Conference includes 425 churches and numerous agencies and ministries in West Tennessee and Western Kentucky.
