Jackson Blogger Inspires Community

JACKSON Tenn. - Do you have a minute? That is what one Jackson man has been asking the community for years; using his stories to inspire the community.

Wendell Glisson said he started the blog almost five years ago.

"My wife one day said I needed to start writing my stories down," said Glisson.

Glisson told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News that he gets the word out about his blog by simply asking the question to random strangers, "do you have a minute?"

While Glisson's stories vary about different events in his life, he said they all aim to spread a good message.

"A lot of people say, 'I've read some of your stories,' and I appreciate it," said Glisson. "It makes you feel so great and good inside that people take the time to say something to you about your stories and you know you've done something good."

The blog has had over 10,000 hits so far this year from readers in Jackson and throughout the world.

"They're going all over now and that's really exciting," said Glisson.

Glisson says he hopes his tales continue to impact people's lives, even if just for a minute.
