JACKSON, Tenn. - Campers from all over the Hub City came together for a little fun and competition, Wednesday.

The annual Jackson Idol competition was held at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

Hundreds of children were able to show off their talents on the stage and perform for their fellow campers.

"To get to perform on the big stage here at the Jackson civic center is something they couldn't experience otherwise," said Sandy McDiarmid with the Jackson Recreation and Parks Department.

The annual competition is part of the city's summer camp program each year.
