Jackson Man Killed in Morning Car Accident
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. -- A Jackson man was killed in a single car crash Thursday morning.
Candelaro Hernandez Gomez, 27, was traveling northbound on Tibbs Road at around 8:34 a.m. when he ran off the road to the east, then swerved and ran off the roadway to the west and hit two trees before the car stopped.
The car was found laying on the passenger side on the southbound lane of Tibbs road.
According to the preliminary report, speed is believed to have been a factor. Gomez was also not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The use of drugs and/or alcohol as contributing factors is still pending.
