Jackson Narcotics Searches Yield Drugs, Guns.

Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics Unit served narcotics search warrants at 21 and 25 Meadowlands Cove in north Jackson Wednesday.

At the home of Devin Long, located on 21 Meadowlands Cove, investigators recovered marijuana valued at about $2000 street business along with paraphernalia and two loaded .40 caliber handguns.

Having observed the officers approaching the residence, Long fled out the rear door but was apprehended a short distance away.

Long, age 22, is charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell or Distribute, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of a Firearm during commission of a Dangerous Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex to await arraignment in Madison County General Sessions Court.

A few houses down at he home of Maurice Bond at 25 Meadowlands Cove, investigators recovered approximately 8.9 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale with cocaine residue and two loaded handguns.

Bond, 39, was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Sell or Distribute, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm during commission of a Dangerous Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

He was transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex to await arraignment in Madison County General Sessions Court.
