Jackson Police Investigating Shots-Fired Call

JACKSON, Tenn. - Police are investigating a shots-fired call in East Jackson.

It happened around 2 p.m. Sunday.

Police said an officer was patrolling the area of Griffin and Commerce Streets, when she heard shots being fired.

A caller told police that two groups of people were shooting at each other.

The officer saw four people running on the railroad tracks near Vance Avenue, who may have been involved.

Police said they caught three of them, and arrested a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old who both had handguns.

The third person was unnarmed and was released.

No one was hit.

Police are still looking to identify the other people involved in the shooting.
