By news admin

JACKSON, Tenn.-Jackson Police were called to the scene of two separate shootings late Thursday night.

A man told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness his house was shot into on Fox Street around 11 p.m. Thursday. He said he heard at least 6 or 7 gunshots nearby coming from the vicinity of East End Street.

"I just heard a lot of gunshots," Montorico Gill, whose home was shot into, said. "It was like probably 6 or 7 gunshots, then I turned around cause I had just placed my plate on the table. I thought I seen like some smoke in the house and went in the bathroom and seen a bullet hole in my bathroom wall."

A few minutes later another call came into police of shots fired on East Baltimore Street. Witnesses said they saw a man bleeding from his head, but it's not sure if this was connected to a shooting. It is also unclear if the two shootings are related.

Reports indicate there may have been injuries.
