JACKSON, Tenn. - Comments made on Facebook by local radio personality, Bill Way of Newstalk 101.5 FM, are causing a stir among many in the community.

The local chapter of the NAACP held a news conference Monday, to discuss comments made by Way. On his personal Facebook page, Way referred to the President as "a pimp walking prez... married to Cheetah's daughter."

The comments have been removed from Way's Facebook page, following a public apology. Members of the local chapter of the NAACP said the damage has been done.

"It was just an insult to the African-American community," said Samuel Joiner, a member of the Jackson NAACP chapter. "We were just pushed to do something about it."

An official statement released by WNWS-FM, the company that owns Newstalk 101.5 FM, said "Considering the gravity of the situation, for now, by mutual agreement, Bill is taking a few days off."
