JACKSON, Tenn. - A West Tennessee blood center is in critical need of blood.
LIFELINE Blood Services said it is issuing an immediate appeal for all blood types.
LIFELINE CEO Joe Schifano told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News they do not have enough blood to supply local hospitals.
He said if they do not get help from blood donors soon, the blood inventory for West Tennessee patients could reach dangerous levels.
Schifano said they are urging residents to give blood this week.
The blood center will be open extended hours Monday through Friday of this week from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
