Lexington Burglary Suspect Possibly Sighted, School on Lockdown

MADSION COUNTY, Tenn. - A Madison County School was placed on lockdown after a possible sighting of a Lexington burglary suspect was reported, Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, Dustan Smith, who is wanted for two counts of burglary and two counts of sexual battery, was reportedly seen in the area of the school. A deputy saw a man matching his description walking on Paul Coffman Drive. That person then ran into the woods.

Deputies are continuing to search the woods in the area. Rose Hill Middle School was placed on lockdown as a precaution. Beech Bluff Elementary is also on lockdown but school officials cannot confirm the reason.
