LEXINGTON, Tenn.- It was a packed house, Tuesday night at First United Methodist Church in Lexington.

More than 100 people came out to enjoy the Easter musical titled "The Power of the Cross." The musical tells the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The church used an 11 piece orchestra and their choir consisting of 42 people for the performance. Organizers said they are happy to teach others about Easter through music.

"We get the satisfaction of knowing that we've brought people closer to God, people closer to the story of the cross and it's very rewarding to see the looks on their faces and to see the worship in their eyes," said David Small, of First United Methodist Church, Lexington.

There is another performance of the musical scheduled for Easter Sunday at the church.
