Lexington Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting

Police in Lexington are investigating after a man reportedly called an area hospital to find out how to treat a gunshot wound.
Jackson police responded to Hackberry Lane were the victim was at this morning around 8:00 a.m., Thursday.
The victim told police he had been shot in Lexington several hours earlier.
Lexington police said they responded to a shots fired call in the area of Spring Street around 1:00 a.m.
They reported that an officer spoke with the victim who, at the time, only told police that he heard shots.
The victim said he didn’t realize he was shot in the leg until this morning.
No arrests have been made at this time.
