Lincoln Celebrates Healthy Child Week

JACKSON, Tenn. - This week elementary schools throughout Tennessee participated in Healthy Child Week.

Friday, Lincoln Elementary School students played high energy games to get their hearts pumping.

Students also walked homewith the help of parents and volunteers.

Students said they have learned a lot of this week about what they can do to live healthier lives. "It gets your body flowing and it helps you get better at running, jogging and walking," said Mariah Stevenson.

Northeast Middle School students were able to participate in a bike rodeo. The State of Tennessee implemented Healthy Child Week to encourage healthy living.
