Lincoln Courts Shooting Suspect Faces Judge

JACKSON, Tenn.-A Jackson man, accused of trying to kill a teenager in Lincoln Courts is still jailed after his first court appearance.
Clinton Berry, 24, was arrested in Paducah, Kentucky, for a July 30 shooting in east Jackson. He was arraigned in Jackson City Court, Friday morning on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Court documents showed the shooting apparently happened after Berry's brother got into an argument with another man. Berry's bond was set at $200,000.
Investigators believed the 17-year -old boy who suffered a graze
wound to the right side of his head was Berry's intended target.
Officers said the 37-year-old woman who was shot in the leg was caught in the crossfire. Berry was arrested in Kentucky by U.S. Marshals four days after the shooting.
He returns to court, September 20.
