Local Man Accused of Robbing Banks Sentenced to Federal Prison
TRENTON, Tenn.-- The man accused of robbing a Trenton bank at gunpoint last January was sentenced to 5 years in federal prison.
Ron Woody was sentenced to 60 months Friday. Woody allegedly robbed a Regions Bank in Trenton in January 2012.
Officers arrested him after officers said he tried to cash in the stolen money stained with dye at two banks in Humboldt.
After his time in prison, he will serve two years of supervised release. He is also scheduled to pay $703 in restitution.
