Local Companies Target of Scams

If you own or operate a company with commercial vehicles, you need to be aware.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said to be aware of letters received in the mail indicating they are at risk of failing a Department of Transportation audit because of non-compliance.

The letter also asks for payment of $99 in fees for two hours of additional drug and alcohol training of the company will suffer penalties.

The letter is purportedly for the supervisor of Compliance Training Department in Wilmington, Delaware.

THP officials are investigating the bogus letters and asks that if you should contact local law enforcement.
